Right-sided Deportivo Saprissa forward Ronald Gomez made his pro debut back in the 1993-94 season with Asociacion Deportiva Carmelita.
Something of a journeyman at club level, he has played for teams in Spain, Greece, Kuwait and Mexico.
Experienced at international level with over 75 caps to his name for Costa Rica, Gomez is quick and has a lethal strike but is also capable of holding up the ball and bringing team-mates into the game.
Gomez played for his country at the 2002 World Cup and scored two goals, including one against the eventual winners Brazil.
