Peter Crouch has decided to cancel his robotic dance routine in a bid to be to taken more seriously.
Crouch has become a cult figure since marking his goals against Hungary and Jamaica with the 'dance'. He even regaled the future King with a version of the move when Prince William visited the England team in training.
However, the Liverpool striker believes that the routine detracts from the serious business in Germany and has vowed not to repeat it - unless England win the World Cup.
"Being here in Germany is not about robotic dances and being a cult figure. It's about scoring goals and winning football matches.
"It was a bit of harmless fun at first, which seems to have escalated a little bit, but I'm not sure I'll be doing the robotics again."
"If we win the World Cup maybe you'll see the whole team do the celebrations, but for the moment I don't think I will be doing it again. It is a serious business we are in. I know that more than anyone. It's an important time we're in now."
Damn.
