Frank Lampard gave England a World Cup fitness boost by participating in Friday afternoon's final training session ahead of Saturday's World Cup quarter-final with Portugal in Gelsenkirchen.
The Chelsea midfielder turned his ankle in training on Thursday but appeared to be moving freely in the Veltins Arena.
Lampard has been out of sorts during the competition so far and is still looking to register his first goal after four games.
But his presence to the team remains crucial as England look to avenge their Euro 2004 quarter-final defeat by Portugal in Lisbon.
Full-back Gary Neville also confirmed his fitness by taking part in a third successive training session since returning from the calf problem which had sidelined him for two weeks.
The game will take place with the roof closed in the 58,000 capacity stadium which is the home of Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04.
England tried to replicate the conditions they will face on Saturday by training at almost the same time as the game kicks off.
They will be hoping history repeats itself as they took part in a match with the roof closed against Argentina in the 2002 World Cup in Sapporo and triumphed 1-0 thanks to a David Beckham penalty.
